Dear ARL,
Last October I adopted a dalmatian named Reggie aka Mr. October from your PetMobile.
I can’t imagine why anyone would give up such a beautiful, gentle, good tempered dog, but their loss was my gain. Reggie is now spoiled rotten and enjoying his long walks and boat rides (he’s not much of a swimmer).
I had a dalmatian for almost 14 years and after I lost her, I didn’t think I’d ever want another dog. I didn’t go into your PetMobile with the intention of adopting, but I knew I was in trouble as soon as I saw him. It took all afternoon to decide to do it but I can’t tell you how happy I am that I finally did it.
Thanks for being there for him.
Gratefully, Jack S.

Dear ARL,
This is Tabby Hunter. He is a most remarkable fellow, with keen intelligence. He even plays fetch like a puppy with a favorite mouse toy he brings to me. He purrs incessantly and reaches up his face to give his version of a kiss.
There are those people who say, after a loss of an animal or a human, that they will never love again. But the human heart has no real limits except those we impose on it. The cure for loss is to open one’s heart again to giving. We do not forget the prior relationship, it simply moves to a place of more gentle tolerance.
I was impressed with the your shelter. I found it clean, well lit and ventilated. The staff and volunteers were helpful and patient, showing me many kittens and allowing me to interact on my own time.
Thank you again,
Diana V. and Barbara C., Fort Lauderdale

Dear ARL,
Thank you sooooo much! We’ve had a great weekend with Sierra. She has her own little personality and to our amazement, she has been pretty good thus far. She hasn’t left our sight since we got her.
